The Word of Life – Jn 4:23 (2/2/14– 16/2/2014)

“But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true

worshipers will worship the Father in Spirit and truth;

for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.”

The Word of Life – Jn 2:24-25 (5/1/14 – 19/1/2014)

“But Jesus did not commit Himself to them, because

He knew all men, and had no need that anyone should

testify of man, for He knew what was in man.”

The Word of Life – Jn 1:11-12 (22/12/13 – 5/1/14)

He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him.

But as many as received Him,

to them He gave the right to become children of God,

to those who believe in His name.”

The Word of Life – Rom 8:38-39 (8/12/2013 – 22/12/2013)

“For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Reflection on Romans 8:37-39

Rom 8:37: “Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.

Verse 37 is a continuation of verses 35 and 36 which speak about unity with Jesus and readiness to suffer or even die for His sake. Reading the lives of saints and martyrs, we can see that they put these words into practice, and they are an example for us to follow. Nothing separated them from the love of Christ. The words about persecution and death and about sheep for the slaughter for the sake of Christ are followed by verse 37: “Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.” These words too were lived by martyrs and saints, whose names we were given at christening in order that these saints may be a model for us. Verse 37 says that in all these things we are more than conquerors and it also says how. Through Him who loved us. Jesus Christ loved us so much that He died for every one of us on the cross at Calvary.

The Word of Life – Rom 8:37 (24/11/2013 – 8/12/2013)

“Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.”

The Word of Life – Rom 8:36 (10/11/2013 – 24/11/2013)

“As it is written: ‘For Your sake we are killed all day long;

we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.’”

The Word of Life – Rom 8:35 (27/10/2013 – 10/11/2013)

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress,

or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

The Word of Life – Rom 8:34 (13/10/2013 – 27/10/2013)

“Who will condemn? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen,

who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.”

The Word of Life – Rom 8:33 (29/9/2013 – 13/10/2013)

“Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies.”

The Word of Life – Rom 8:32 (15/9/2013 – 29/9/2013)

“He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all,

how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?”

The Word of Life – Rom 8:31 (1/9/2013 – 15/9/2013)

“What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?”

The Word of Life – Rom 8:28 (18/8/2013 – 1/9/2013)

“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God,

to those who are the called according to His purpose.”

The Word of Life – Rom 8:27 (4/8/2013 – 18/8/2013)

“Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is,

because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.”

The Word of Life – Rom 8:26 (21/7/2013 – 4/8/2013)

“Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses.

For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought,

but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us

with groanings which cannot be uttered.”

The Word of Life – Rom 8:23 (07/07/2013- 21/07/2013)

“We also who have the firstfruits of the Spirit,

even we ourselves groan within ourselves,

eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body.”

Word of Life

“So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God. For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.”

Mark 11:22-23 (28/9/2025 – 12/10/2025)
