Anniversaries of two Councils: 1,700 years of Nicaea and 60 years of Vatican II
The Council of Nicaea and all three subsequent councils – the Councils of Constantinople, Ephesus and Chalcedon – spoke out against heresies that attacked the nature of Jesus to deny that Jesus is true God and true man, the only Saviour of mankind. The attack was hidden and insidious. Councils of faith always speak out against heresies that deny the fundamental truths of our salvation. The Second Vatican Council (1962-65), on the other hand, secretly promoted the pan-heresy of modernism. After the Council, the so-called spirit of Vatican II imposed this heresy on all theological schools, not by specific proclamation, but covertly, under the authority of the Pope and the Council. The modernists, through the so-called scientific historical-critical method, have succeeded in reviving heresies long condemned.

The system of historical-critical theology was imposed on theological schools after Vatican II. It does not lead to a personal relationship with Christ, it does not emphasize the condition of salvation, which is repentance, or even the salvation of the immortal soul. Historical-critical theology came like a Trojan horse from liberal Protestantism into the Catholic Church. As early as the beginning of the 20th century, the spiritual background behind HCT gave rise to a spiritual movement in the Catholic Church called Modernism. St Pius X issued the encyclical “Pascendi Dominici gregis” in 1907, through which this spirit of death and atheism was exposed and the Catholic Church officially broke with it. Approximately half of the professors and students were expelled from the theological faculties and seminaries, and the Church experienced a revival for a few years through a living relationship with Christ.
