BCP: A Call for a Revolution in the Catholic Church – From the Head (Part 2)

October 9, 2026

The most pressing question in the Catholic Church today is whether or not Pope Francis was a manifest heretic. The Church Fathers are clear on the matter: a pope who is a manifest heretic has excommunicated himself from the Church. Since he is no longer a member, he cannot be its head. St. Cyprian, St. Augustine, St. Jerome, and St. Athanasius, as well as the Doctors of the Church St. Robert Bellarmine, St. Francis de Sales, St. Alphonsus Liguori and St. Anthony of Florence, all teach this. So do Popes Innocent III (1198) and Paul IV (1559). However, the problem is that the pope, a manifest heretic, will not voluntarily relinquish his position of power.

A journalist recently asked Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò a question: “How can the Church recover the integrity of the Faith, the certainty of doctrine and, above all, an authority truly faithful to the Petrine mandate?”

The Archbishop replies: “Some things are certain, because the history of the Church teaches them. The first is that the crisis will end when authority will return to doing what Christ established it to do: a (true) Pope, with a solemn act, condemns the errors of the Council and of the post-conciliar period … and repudiates synodality as something foreign to the divine constitution of the Church. Humanly speaking, it is not apparent today how this could happen, since the entire Hierarchy is corrupt and among those who could perform that act there is not one who shows any desire to do so.”

So let us ask the question: What should we do? How, apart from an extraordinary intervention by God, could the Church be restored in connection with a true pope? There are four possible answers.

Option One: Refusal to obey the usurper of the papacy. In the present situation, we cannot submit in obedience, because doing so would make us complicit.

This necessity of disobedience to safeguard the faith also follows from the doctrinal bull of Paul IV. According to this bull, believers, including priests and bishops, cannot – or rather, must not – obey a heretic, even if that heretic is the pope. If a heretic occupying the papal office begins to punish people for alleged disobedience and invokes canon law, which he abuses to promote the path of apostasy, such measures have no force. A pope who is a manifest heretic destroys the very essence of the Church yet paradoxically punishes those who defend the Church with excommunications. Anyone who obeys a pope who is a manifest heretic joins him in rebellion against God and excludes himself from the path to salvation. There are only two possibilities: reject the heretic or reject God’s law. Fidelity and obedience to God must go hand in hand with disobedience to a heretic in ecclesiastical authority. This necessary disobedience will sooner or later result in a definitive separation from the heretical pope. This is the case with Leo Prevost, who promotes the path of the sodomite anti-gospel.

There will be a problem if a priest or bishop resists. The heretical pope will depose the bishop. If a priest resists, the bishop, who is subordinate to the arch-heretic Leo, will excommunicate the priest for his fidelity to Christ and the Gospel. However, if the bishops and priests do not wait for the heretic to abuse his power against them, but instead rise up in resistance, they will remain faithful to Christ and save the souls entrusted to them.

What about a bishop whom Leo Prevost removes from office or excommunicates? He can refuse to obey the heretic, as stipulated in Paul IV’s doctrinal bull, and separate himself and his entire diocese from him. The more bishops who do this, the greater the hope for the renewal of the Church. Those who have separated themselves from the heretic can be among the first to accept a legitimate, true pope.

We can no longer just wait helplessly. Resistance must be organized. Scripture says: “In your struggle against sin (heresy), you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood.” (Heb 12:4) This resistance will save both the Church’s structure and orthodox doctrine. The Pius X Movement also shares this theory of disobedience, as demonstrated by their ordination of four bishops without the pope’s permission, even at the cost of the so-called excommunication pronounced against both the bishops and the faithful. Will the Pius X Movement take the next step and elect a true pope? Someone must make the groundbreaking first move. It cannot be done without it. Even if a group of underground bishops took this step, they would find themselves in a difficult situation because they lack the support of a body of the faithful.

Option Two: The bishops’ conference of a particular nation will clearly condemn the heresies of the current pope, who is occupying the papal office. They will publicly declare that he is a manifest heretic and is therefore no longer a member of the Catholic Church, let alone its head. As successors to the apostles, the bishops not only have the authority to do this, but it is also their duty. Who else has the authority to declare the apostle Judas a usurper of St. Peter’s throne?

But the usurper Leo laughs at this because he knows many bishops are corrupt, susceptible to blackmail, and cowardly. They will do nothing to save the Church. Any bishop who renounces his obedience will be punished with an invalid excommunication, which nevertheless works because of false obedience. If a true bishop had the support of faithful priests and believers, he could leave with his entire diocese, breaking away from Bergoglio’s anti-Church. In doing so, he would set a precedent for the entire Church. If the bishops’ conference agreed with him, they could elect a legitimate pope under extraordinary circumstances because the current pope is not valid but merely usurps the office.

Historically, under extraordinary circumstances, a group of five cardinals elected Pope Nicholas II (1159) outside of Rome, and a synod subsequently declared the incumbent Pope Benedict X’s election invalid. Today, however, the problem is that most of the cardinals were chosen by Bergoglio.

Unlike their counterparts in Europe and America, the bishops of Africa unanimously renounced the papal declaration Fiducia Supplicans. However, they are no longer capable of taking the next radical step: having at least one African bishops’ conference break away from the apostate Vatican and proclaim a legitimate pope. This would set a precedent for all of Africa and for the entire world. However, given the African mindset, this step cannot be expected. Bergoglio appointed Besungu, a tyrant and impostor, as a cardinal – that is, his right-hand man and overseer of Africa. He selects priests to be bishops who are already willing to submit to heresy and betray Christ and His Gospel under the guise of obedience.

If, however, there were still a Catholic nation whose bishops’ conference had broken away from the apostate Vatican, it would be their duty to elect a new pope. The new pope would posthumously excommunicate Pope Francis. Similarly, the Sixth and Eighth General Councils, along with Popes Leo II and Hadrian II, declared a posthumous excommunication of Pope Honorius on account of the heresy of Monotheletism.

For the Church to be purified and true reform to be possible, the new pope would have to acknowledge the Second Vatican Council for what it was and purify the Church of the spiritual harm it caused. Otherwise, a universal renewal of the Church will not take place.

Option Three: The third option is an underground Church. If the cardinals, diocesan bishops, and Pius X Movement do not take a radical step and break away from the heretical pope, the Catholic institution will remain. However, it will have a poisoned doctrine that leads the masses astray into eternal perdition. A handful of the faithful will flee from this sinking Titanic and take refuge in the lifeboats of the underground Church. There, bishops have almost no faithful but possess legitimate ordination in the line of Archbishop Thuc. They are apparently prepared to proclaim a true pope themselves if the cardinals or diocesan bishops do nothing. The fact that this will be a laughingstock to the apostate Vatican does not change the fact that, over time, people who are sincerely seeking the truth will join this underground Church. It will offer them a way forward. At present, there is effectively no way out.

Option Four: Pre-conciliar theologian Garrigou-Lagrange proposed a theory for how to proceed in the case of a heretical pope. He speaks of an imperfect council consisting of several bishops, or possibly cardinals, who would declare the heretical pope invalid and elect a legitimate pope.

In the case of the current heretical pope Leo, the highest priority is to eliminate the self-destructive heresy and the usurper – the heretical pope who promotes heresy through the so-called synodal path – and all ecclesiastical laws must yield to this priority.

The Catholic Church is facing a dilemma these days. Either the cardinals, or especially the diocesan bishops, will save the masses of Catholics from spiritual suicide, or a small group of underground bishops will proclaim a new pope, which will lead to significant fragmentation and problems.

Once again, before God, I call upon all sincere Catholics, men and women alike, to realize that the salvation and renewal of the Church depend on you! Through your prayers, dear brothers and sisters in Christ, God will grant strength and light to those who can take this decisive step. Therefore, encourage your priest with a letter assuring him that you will remain faithful to the inheritance of faith handed down by your fathers, grandfathers, and great-grandfathers. Encourage him to renounce obedience to the arch-heretic occupying the papal throne, as well as to the bishop unwilling to separate himself from the arch-heretic!
