Jesus said to him, “Rise, take up your bed and walk.”

And immediately the man was healed, took up his bed, and walked.

And that day was the Sabbath. The Jews therefore said to him who was

healed, “It is the Sabbath; it is not lawful for you to carry your bed.”

«But as many as received Him,to them He gave the right to

become children of God, to those who believe in His name:

who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh,

nor of the will of the man, but of God.»

“But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised

for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him,

and by His stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray;

we have turned, every one, to his own way;

and the LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.”

“And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life,

and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life;

he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.

These things I have written to you who believe

in the name of the Son of God,

that you may know that you have eternal life.”

“Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season.

Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching.

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine,

but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears,

they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears

away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.”

“The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan,

with all power, signs, and lying wonders,

and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish,

because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved.”

“You were buried with Him in baptism,

in which you also were raised with Him

through faith in the power of God,

who raised Him from the dead.”

“To them God willed to make known what are the riches

of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles:

which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.”

“Put on the whole armour of God,

that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood,

but against principalities, against powers,

against the rulers of the darkness of this age,

against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.”

“Be very careful, then, how you live – not as unwise but as wise,

redeeming the time, because the days are evil.”

“And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets,

some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers,

for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry,

for the edifying of the body of Christ.”

“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves;

it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.”

“And you were dead in the trespasses and sins in which you once walked,

following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air,

the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience.”

“And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts,

crying out, “Abba, Father!” Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son,

and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.”

“Not that there is another gospel, but there are some who trouble you

and want to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we, or an angel from heaven,

should preach to you a gospel contrary to that which we preached to you,

let him be accursed (anathema)!”

“For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus:

that if One died for all, then all died;

and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves,

but for Him who died for them and rose again.”
