An expression of thanks and a request
Lvov (Ukraine), 13 March 2013
Prime Minister of Hungary V. Orban Members of the Government of HungaryDear Prime Minister,
Dear Members of Government,
the Byzantine Catholic Patriarchate thanks You on behalf of all sincere Christians of Europe for Your heroic struggle in the political arena for the moral, spiritual and Christian values of Your nation. Your courageous act of defending God’s laws is similar to the heroism of the Maccabees in the history of the chosen people. May Your fight for God and God’s law set a precedent against the “euro Antiochs” who are introducing paganism and demoralization of nations.
We express our thanks to all Members of Parliament who showed their courage once again on 11 March 2013 when they stood up for God and for their people by adopting just constitutional amendments defining the family as the union of man and woman and thus reinforcing national values.
Tragically, one European nation after another accept changes in legislation and in the Constitutions, and pave the way for demoralization, demonization and autogenocide of their people. May Your example, unlike theirs, be the light for Europe.
We have at heart Central Europe, and especially Slovakia the southern part of which is inhabited by the national minority of Hungarians. This minority has some political influence in the Slovak Parliament. If this political force sought to preserve the traditional family and moral values, it would be of great benefit for Slovakia in this area.
On 6 November 2012, the Slovak Parliament voted on the issue of so-called registered partnership, i.e. legalization of homosexuality in Slovakia. Hungarian MPs de facto favoured it.
Dear Prime Minister, dear Members of Government, we hereby address You with a request concerning politicians in European countries, and especially the ones in the Slovak Parliament who represent the Hungarian minority. Please, appeal to them to join together for support of moral and Christian principles and values. Today, when the existence of the nations is at stake, a priority to be established can by no means be ethnic problems on either part but a common fight for preservation of the traditional family and moral values.
Thank You in advance.
Praying for You,
+ Elijah
