An SOS to Christians of the EU (+ video)
Lvov (Ukraine), 2 August 2012
In this historic hour, the Byzantine Catholic Patriarchate appeals to European Christians of all denominations, and especially to Catholics.
This year we commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Second Vatican Council. What is the fruit? The Catholic Church has adopted a so-called historical-critical method which denies the essential truths of salvation. It denies Christ’s redemptive sacrifice on the cross on Golgotha, His historical and real resurrection and divine inspiration of Scripture. The gesture of Pope John Paul II in Assisi in 1986 started the process of changing the Holy Spirit for the spirit of antichrist. The apostate hierarchy is to blame for the Christians of Europe having turned into tasteless salt.
Both divine and natural law, which formed the foundation of European culture and all moral values, have been denied. The Lisbon Treaty pushed through by Chancellor Merkel accomplished the revolt against God and God’s laws. Gender-gay ideology promotes satanization of children as early as the age of four. Sound upbringing of children is qualified as family violence and children are removed from their parents. Gender schizophrenia causes both a mental and physical disorder from early childhood. Drugs, decadent music and sexual perversion create the conditions for mass killing even of healthy people. These suffer from severe depression and consequently call for legalization of euthanasia (the Netherlands, Germany). This is a process of autogenocide of the individual nations of Europe through various conventions, resolutions and changes in current legislation. All trade agreements with and subsidies from the EU are conditioned by a demand for implementation of amoral homosexual antilaws. “Brothels” for zoophiles have been officially opened in Germany. In addition, homosexuality is connected with the crime of paedophilia. Therefore all EU states are establishing the juvenile justice system. This system removes children from good families and gives them for “adoption” preferentially to homosexuals and paedophiles. All who defend these children are labelled as homophobes and punished under so-called antidiscriminatory laws.
The Byzantine Catholic Patriarchate preserves the line of apostolic succession and prophetic authority. Before the establishment of the Patriarchate its bishops made public before the whole Christian world that according to Gal 1:8-9 German Chancellor A. Merkel is under the bond of anathema. The Patriarchate published the same fact concerning the Protestant Churches that promote homosexuality as well as concerning Catholic bishops and all priests who accepted the spirit of Assisi. On 1 May 2011, Pope Benedict XVI through the so-called beatification expelled the Holy Spirit from the Church and officially accepted the spirit of Assisi – the spirit of antichrist.
Today Jesus says clearly: “Unless you repent, you will all perish” (Lk 13:1-5) He connects His exhortation with the parable of the fruitless fig tree. The lord said to the vinedresser: “Cut it down!” And he answered him: “Lord, let it alone this year also… And unless it bears fruit, after that you can cut it down.” (cf. Lk 13:6f)
This year God gives the nations of Europe a chance of repentance. His demand is: a year of constant prayer! The Byzantine Catholic Patriarchate therefore appeals to all bishops, priests and pastors for repentance. Their task is to initiate a year of a continuous prayer. This is the only means of salvation from disaster!
Continuous prayer is divided among four guards, each consisting of 24 people. Each member prays at home at a particular hour during the day for a period of one week. After three weeks his week-long guard starts again.
All members of the guards unite in prayer every day from 20:00 to 21:00 (so-called holy hour). Orthodox believers in Russia used to have a corner in their houses where there was a picture of the Madonna with the Child. Here the whole family would pray together in the evenings.
Jesus said: “Could you not watch with Me one hour? Watch and pray.” (Mt 26:40-41) The essence of prayer is to realize God’s presence – that Jesus sees you, hears you and loves you. First bring your sins to God’s light and call with faith on the name of Jesus (Aramaic Yehoshua). You can repeat: “Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, have mercy on me!” (Aramaic: Yehoshua, khuonayny!) Then it is true that: “The blood of Christ cleanses you from all sin.” (1Jn 1:7) This is perfect contrition. This is what you will need at the moment of your physical death and what eternal life in glory with God depends on. If you reject repentance, you will be condemned for ever! (Lk 13:3)
In addition to the prayer guard and the holy hour God calls you to stop seven times a day before Him – when you get up, at 9:00, 12:00, 15:00, 18:00, 21:00 and before sleep (cf. Ps 119:164). (http://uogcc.org/en/actual/article/?article=3847)
The other means of salvation apart from prayer are fasting and celebration of Sunday.
You can fast on Fridays and Wednesdays, or even Mondays. Some fast 3 and a half days a week (cf. Rev 11):
– from Sunday evening until Monday evening – this is 24 hours,
– from Tuesday evening to Wednesday evening – again, 24 hours,
– from Thursday evening to Saturday morning – 36 hours.
During the fast one does not eat anything, just drinks water.
Both prayer and fasting require inward self-denial (Mt 16:24-26). One should also fast from sin, from various addictions and useless information.
Celebration of Sunday – the Day of Resurrection
On Friday Jesus Christ died for us on the cross. In the night from Saturday to Sunday He rose from the dead. This whole night is holy. On the 50th day after His resurrection, Jesus poured out the Holy Spirit on the apostles. It was Sunday too. How do we reflect upon the truths of Resurrection and Pentecost? The web page of our Patriarchate gives a detailed description. (http://vkpatriarhat.org/en/?category_name=celebration-of-sunday)
If the Christians of Europe repent and turn their hearts to God through a continuous prayer, the disaster will be prevented. We call upon every one of you personally: Repent, and join in prayer guards!
