The power of baptism lies in two mysteries – in union with Christ’s death and participation in His resurrection. When through our faith we unite with the power of Christ’s death which overcame sin, death and the devil, Christ lives in us. The new spiritual life of the risen Christ is in us now. Those who now partake of His resurrection through faith will partake of it when we will receive perfection, when our body too shall be raised and we shall be like Him.
