Word of life – Rom 6:1-2

What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound?

Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it?

(4-18 Mar 2012)

These two questions respond to verse 20 which says: “Where sin abounded, grace abounded much more.” We cannot sin and say: grace will abound much more! That’s wrong!

It is important to know: “We died to sin.” (Rom 6:2) Again and again we should realize that we died to sin. This victory is not in our nature, but in Christ alone. If through faith and our surrender to Christ we are in Him, we cannot continue in sin. Other verses in chapter six can be viewed from this perspective: to be – to abide in Christ!

Word of Life

“So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God. For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.”

Mark 11:22-23 (28/9/2025 – 12/10/2025)
