Word of life – Rom 5:18

“Therefore, as through one man’s offense judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one Man’s righteous act the free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life.” (NKJ)

As a result of the sin of Adam, all his descendants are born condemned to death. No man can deliver himself from the power of death with his own strength. Dying, Jesus made satisfaction for us to God’s justice and triumphed over death. Therefore, the free gift resulting in justification of life comes to all who received Him. One offense of Adam – sin – caused the death of all. And through the one sacrifice of Jesus Christ all who received Him received divine sonship. This means that we may enjoy freedom in Christ here on earth and life in eternal glory after death.
