The hypocrisy and guile of the Head of the UGCC

Immediately after the Amazon Synod, Major Archbishop of the UGCC S. Shevchuk called for the abolition of celibacy. He falsely claimed that this would resolve the moral decline. Most of the UGCC bishops apparently disagree with his statement. Moreover, it is a paradox that Shevchuk says this but both he and Archbp. Gudziak openly promote immoral LGBTQ ideology. Nevertheless, Shevchuk calls on the UGCC priests to report the priests of the Roman Catholic Church in Ukraine for moral offences. But what if priests of both rites begin to report Shevchuk?

We, as Greek Catholic bishops, declare responsibly that the abolition of celibacy will not resolve the moral decline of priests and believers. On the contrary, the abolition of celibacy will nowadays cause great chaos, the loss of essence and the legalization of all LGBTQ perversions, as pursued by Francis Bergoglio.

The only solution to the crisis in the Church and among the clergy is true repentance. It means to cleanse the saving faith of the heresies of neo-Modernism behind which is the spirit of atheism which has cast doubt on all the fundamental truths of faith and morals, and hence on the personal relationship to our Saviour. To cleanse the faith, it is also necessary to renounce the spirit of neopaganism which is behind the Vatican II document Nostra Aetate and which reached the culminating point at the Amazon Synod. This is the basic step of repentance, which must be connected with true reevangelization, the receiving of the Spirit of Christ, and the path of following Christ. The Word of God clearly shows that the problem of moral decline has these two poisonous roots: disbelief in the true God and idolatry (cf. Rom 1:20-27!!!).
