Lord, give us Your word
The whole world is undergoing a crisis of faith; we are witnesses to mass apostasy from Christianity. Thank God that we can fight for the purity of faith. God has put us into this fight. We are not fighting for Ukraine only; God has put us on a battlefield to fight for the whole Church. Seeing how big this problem is, we say in prayer: “O God, what shall we do? We are not in a position as David against Goliath but rather as if we stood with a sling against an atom bomb. We have no chance. But we trust that You are Almighty, that You will overcome in this fight and that there will be spiritual resurrection. And how? We are in darkness: we face a problem and see no solution; nevertheless, we believe that if You give Your word of prophecy, the Spirit who is behind Your word will come. And by Your Spirit You can change and renew everything. Just as at Your word the Israelites went through the Red Sea on the dry land when Moses lifted up his staff and stretched out his hand over the sea by faith and the sea was divided, so also through Your word You will bring about spiritual resurrection. Moses did not do it according to his own will but according to Your word; and so we pray to You too: ‘Lord, give us Your word!’” And when the Lord gives it to us, let us have the courage to make concrete steps of faith at His word so that the sea of sin and evil may be divided and we may go through the midst of the sea to the kingdom of God.
