The Word of Life – Mt 5:27-28 (22/11/15 – 6/12/2015)

“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’

But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman lustfully

has already committed adultery with her in his heart.”

Reflection on Mt 5:27-28

“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ But I say to you that
whoever looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.”

Original sin, which consists in revolt against God and His commandments, has deeply wounded all spheres of human life. In terms of carnality, this wounded nature becomes manifest in sinful lusts which affected Adam and Eve immediately after the fall (Gen 3:7). Therefore, God laid down the sixth and ninth commandments to prevent the infection of the sin of impurity.

In these words spoken in the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus points out the root of adultery. He says that one can commit adultery not only physically but in one’s heart too if one unites oneself to a lustful thought. In such case, the instrument of sin is an impure look and the place of sin is the human heart – a lustful, impure mind.

Intellectual pride keeps man from bowing before God

Why do scientists reject belief in God? A certain scientist said: “If you are a believer and you are really a good scientist, science will bring you to even greater knowledge of God.” If someone is an atheist, it is because he refuses to acknowledge an intelligent and wise Being higher than himself to Whom he ought to give an account of his life. In other words, it is intellectual pride, which is, in fact, demonic pride. Similarly, the angels who became demons had refused to submit to the authority of God who created them. They wanted to be as God: “I am God and acknowledge no higher authority than myself.” Only hardened people refuse to know God, to bow before Him, to turn to Him and to give Him the first place in their lives, because they do not want to be dependent on Him.

How to seek the kingdom of God and His righteousness in practice

Try it! Try if it works! Try it this week. Try to seek first the kingdom of God. Try to put your trust in God, knowing that He will care for you just as He cares for birds or lilies (cf. Mt 6:25-30). Try not to serve two masters but to serve God alone. Try it all and you will see that He is really a living God who cares for your life. He will give you the light what to do. Jesus is alive. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. He is with you. Do you have problems? Give them to Jesus. “Lord, this is my problem. I give it to You.” But give it to Him with faith. Do not ask Him without believing that He will hear you. Give Him your problems and put absolute trust in Him. He will solve them and work miracles because He is almighty and He loves you. He is with you always. But one thing is needed: you must be with Him too. Seek first the kingdom of God and He will solve all problems in your life.

Martyrdom of the Holy Virgin Tatiana of Rome, and those who suffered with her

Commentary: The Holy Virgin Martyr Tatiana was born into an illustrious Roman family, and her father was elected consul three times. He was a good Christian, but secretly. He raised his daughter, Saint Tatiana, to be devoted to God and instructed her in the Scriptures. When she reached the age of maturity, Tatiana decided to remain a virgin, betrothing herself to Christ, touched by His love. She served Him day and night in fasting and prayer, putting her flesh to death and subjecting it to the Spirit. In view of her fervent zeal and love of God, she was appointed a deaconess. Deaconesses were young virgins appointed by bishops to care for the poor and the sick, to assist at Baptism and to serve in the temple. The words of Christ were rooted deeply in her heart: “The Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.” Her love of God and neighbours indeed made Tatiana worthy to receive a glorious martyr’s crown. Her martyrdom for the sake of Christ happened as follows:

How to fight bad moods

When a mood takes you or you slide into depression, ask yourself at once: What spirit is behind it?! The spirit of lies. If you yield to it, it will torment you for hours, days or weeks. Stop! Lift up your heart! Realize God’s presence and give your problem to Jesus. He will take it from you and fill your heart with peace which the world cannot give. It works 120%! You only need to practise it and come to Jesus time and again. Unless you have done so, you have not fulfilled the conditions and so nothing happens. God’s Word falls on deaf ears and God cannot work and touch your heart. You must give Him your problem, go for an X-ray – stand personally before God and tell Him: “Lord, You know me, You know my thoughts, feelings, everything. I won’t act unwisely and hide it from You.” Jesus says: “There is nothing covered that will not be revealed.” Everything will be revealed!

The Word of Life – Mt 5:21-22 (8/11/15 – 22/11/2015)

“You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not murder,

and whoever murders will be in danger of the judgment.’ But I say to you that

whoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger

of the judgment. And whoever says to his brother, ‘Raca!’ shall be in danger

of the council. But whoever says, ‘You fool!’ shall be in danger of hell fire.”

Reflection on Mt 5:21-22

You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not murder, and whoever murders will be in danger of the judgment.’ But I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment. And whoever says to his brother, ‘Raca!’ shall be in danger of the council. But whoever says, ‘You fool!’ shall be in danger of hell fire.

A) You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not murder!’

The Fifth Commandment says: You shall not murder! Evil thought connected with deceit and manipulation and resulting in hatred is the root of murder. There is not only physical murder but also psychological and spiritual one. Behind all three forms of murder there is a spirit of lies and death. Man is easily manipulated by his own self-deceit or is deceived by others whom he believed or immediately by the devil’s suggestive thoughts. The Fifth Commandment also includes ruining one’s own health. Today you can read on every pack of cigarettes: “Smoking kills!” The same is the effect of drugs, alcohol, immoral life (AIDS, sexual murders, revenge out of jealousy…), or risking one’s own or someone else’s health. Abortion and euthanasia are sins of killing too.

Sin causes suffering to those who sin as well as to those around them

God has given us His commandments. If we trespass against them, we sin and cause pain, grief and evil both to ourselves and to the people around us. ‘Nothing Is a Sin’ has now become a popular modern slogan. Do whatever you like! Freedom! Whatever sin or impurity has the green light. But where will it all end? AIDS, venereal diseases, psychological decay of the entire nation, hell on earth and after death. Every sin causes suffering to the person sinning as well as to the people around him.

Will Pan-Orthodox Synod take place in 2016? / Part IV: Prognosis

7 October 2015

We live in a historic time when the responsibility of saving the Russian nation from globalization autogenocide is not a matter of a capable politician only, but the responsibility falls on every citizen of Russia! The only effective weapon against the spread of the rule of antichrist is true repentance!

What is true repentance? True repentance means to call a sin a sin; it is a true attitude of self-criticism before God which, however, does not lead to despair or depression but receives in humility and by faith the forgiveness of sins, which is in Christ Jesus. Repentance is associated with the truth. When you pray, realize the truth – the reality of your own death, the reality of sin and the reality of God’s judgment and eternity – glory and happiness in heaven and suffering in hell. True self-criticism before God causes pain, but purifies the soul through repentance. You will not conceal anything.

Martyrdom of St Ignatius Theophorus

Commentary: When Trajan became Emperor of Rome, St Ignatius was Bishop of the Church of Antioch. St Ignatius was not only called God-Bearer (Theophorus) but he really was God-Bearer. This holy man is known to be the person whom, when an infant, our Lord Jesus showed to the Apostles as a pattern. One day, the parents of this child were standing in the crowd around Jesus and listening to His words. They had their child with them. The Lord looked at them and called the little child to Him. He set him in the midst of them, embraced him, took him in His arms and said:

Jesus: “Unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.”

Commentary: Certainly Saint Ignatius was called Theophorus because God Incarnate bore him in His arms. But also because he carried God in his heart. Ignatius, along with his friend St Polycarp, Bishop of Smyrna, were disciples of John the Apostle. Ignatius the God-Bearer was a good shepherd for forty years. He took care of his flock by fasting and prayer, with unceasing zeal in teaching and in the power of the Spirit received from God. He guarded the sheep lest at the time of persecution any of the fainthearted or inexperienced should be broken. When the persecution faded for a time, the holy Bishop had only one concern – he was afraid that he was not yet filled with the true love of Christ because, being a disciple of Christ, he had so far not sealed his faith with martyrdom. But the time came when the most ardent desire of his heart was fulfilled – to lay down his life for Christ!

Globalization ecumenism with Islam

At the time when USA through the mediation of the EU leaders dictates mandatory quotas to the individual European nations for the admission of tens of thousands of Muslims, Pope Francis gives a command (6 September 2015) to the Catholic Church to ensure nationwide Islamization of Europe by hosting at least a small group of Muslims in every parish, monastery and sanctuary. The building of a large mosque in Moscow is a strong strategic point for America. USA provoked fratricidal war among Christians and among Muslims. They exploited Muslims in the Russian Federation (Chechnya) too. It is reported that 2 million Muslims are concentrated in Moscow to date. The men in the six mosques not only pray but also plan to expand Islam even at the cost of war. Do USA reckon with this war potential in the Russian Federation in their globalization plan?

An appeal to Patriarch Bartholomew to confess the faith and to renounce heresies

21 October 2015
His Holiness Bartholomew
Patriarch of Istanbul and All Turkey
based in Geneva and Istanbul

Dear Patriarch Bartholomew,

You are acting as the main organizer of the planned Pan-Orthodox Synod in 2016, which, unfortunately, in the current crisis of Christianity does not aim to restore the Church, but the opposite. On 28 November 2013, You said that You are not a Mason, which aroused great suspicion that You really are in that You exactly follow the programme of Masons aimed at eliminating the orthodox Christians and establishing an anti-Church of the New Age.

The fruits of Vatican II after 50 years / Part 2: Quotes from Nostra Aetate and declaration of anathema (+ video)

Part 1 – Crypto-fascism of Vatican II

Part 2 – Quotes from Nostra Aetate and declaration of anathema

Part 3 – The greatest disaster of the 20th century

Part 2

Quotes from Nostra Aetate and declaration of anathema

On the 50th anniversary of Vatican II, it is wise to take stock and to show the pernicious, catastrophic fruits in a true light. Jesus says: “A tree is known by its fruit: a bad tree cannot bear good fruit.” (Mt 7:18) In this context, He continues: “Beware of false prophets (heretical theologians). They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits.” (v. 15-16)

The application of the Vatican II document, particularly under the slogan “a regard for other religions”, resulted in a mass expansion of paganism not only in Europe. Many religious superiors started inviting Buddhists and Hindus to their monasteries. Nostra Aetate thus prepared the ground for an invasion of Asiatic paganism which denies one God the Creator and Jesus Christ the Saviour.
