Reflection on Rom 7:16-17
The Apostle Paul points out that if I will not to do evil which I do, I agree with the law that it is good. Then he speaks about the root of evil in me which affects my feelings, mind and will, and he says that this root of evil is original sin in me. The Apostle next develops this truth about sin in us: “For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) nothing good dwells; for to will is present with me, but how to perform what is good I do not find. For the good that I will to do, I do not do; but the evil I will not to do, that I practise. Now if I do what I will not to do, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me. I find then a law, that evil is present with me, the one who wills to do good.”
Word of Life – Rom 7:16-17 (21/4/2019 – 5/5/2019)
«If, then, I do what I will not to do, I agree with the law that it is good.
But now, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me.»
Michael Faraday – scientist and Christian
Every true scientist should be a believer if he is a real expert in his field. He need only look at the wisdom and the thousands of laws that are in the physical world or in the world of biology or zoology… We humans have computers, we launch spaceships into space, but we can not produce a single wheat grain that would grow and contain a life hidden within. Michael Faraday was the man who invented the dynamo. He died in 1867. He was a devout believer. When asked what his idea was about what would happen after death, he said he had no idea but he was sure about it. He quoted the Scripture from the letter to Timothy: “I know whom I have believed” (2Ti 1:12). And he added: “I’m sure. I’m sure that after I die, I’ll pass into Jesus’ arms. I trust the Word of God.”
Reflection on Rom 7:14-15
The Apostle Paul shows here a contradiction, a kind of spiritual schizophrenia, which is caused by original sin in us. The law of God is holy but every one of us is subject to carnality and mentality, and both the body and soul are influenced by the law of sin. Our spirit thirsts for God but is bound and imprisoned by our corrupt nature. Everyone can see by experience that the law of sin is at work in us. This is proved by the fact that we want to do good and we love good but we do evil which we hate and do not want to do. There is a law of sin here. Law is a principle which repeats itself; it is not something that happens just once. The law of sin is at work while we live this life in time. This is what we must reckon with and what the Word of God tells us about. Therefore we need to walk by faith. For there is not only the law of sin but also the law of the Spirit – which will be mentioned in the next verses – and the latter is at work if in concrete situations we unite ourselves to our Saviour, Jesus Christ.
Word of Life – Rom 7:14-15 (7/4/2019 – 21/4/2019)
“For we know that the law is spiritual, but I am carnal, sold under sin.
For what I am doing, I do not understand. For what I will to do,
that I do not practice; but what I hate, that I do.”
Additional explanation for the preceding Word of life (Romans 7:5-6)
The Word of God says that when we were in the flesh, the sinful passions were at work in our members. The law did not give the strength to overcome them; on the contrary, by bringing them to light it made our conscience see every detail of sin, and the conscience was bound. Let us emphasize: the law did not give us the strength to overcome the sinful passions in proportion to our understanding. The law only convicted us of what is deep within us, namely the source of lies and evil connected with pride and sinful passions and bearing fruit to death.
Concerning verse six, someone may misunderstand it and draw the wrong conclusion, for it is written there: “…we have been delivered from the law, having died to what we were held by…” But it does not mean that freedom is deliverance from the law. The true meaning is expressed in the next words: “…so that we should serve in the newness of the Spirit and not in the oldness of the letter.” True freedom is only in Christ!
Word of Life – Rom 7:5-6 (24/3/2019 – 7/4/2019)
“For when we were in the flesh, the sinful passions which were aroused by the law
were at work in our members to bear fruit to death. But now we have been
delivered from the law, having died to what we were held by, so that we should serve
in the newness of the Spirit and not in the oldness of the letter.”
Reflection on Rom 7:5-6
If we reject Jesus as our Saviour and as the One who delivers us from the power of sin, sinful passions are at work in our members which are aroused rather than overcome by the law. Thus, the law is ineffective in the struggle against passions. It truly calls evil evil and a lie a lie, it also warns of punishment, but it gives no strength. The passions, which are produced by sin in us, bear fruit to death.
Next, the Scripture says that if we have died to what we were held by, we have been delivered through this death from the law. It does not mean physical death but our inner union with Christ’s death on the cross by being crucified with Him and by putting into practice the essence of baptism, which is our immersion in Christ’s death. In this inner death, i.e. in this union with Christ crucified who dying conquered death, is the fulfilment of the demands of the law. We are unable to fulfil them by ourselves. Union with Christ’s death makes us able to serve God, i.e. commit ourselves wholly to God, in the newness of life. The Spirit of God, who participated in the resurrection of Christ, then works in us, so that this new life in us may grow.
The gender issue in Lent 2019
March 14, 2019
Dear bishops, priests and faithful,
we have entered the Lenten season, the essence of which is repentance. Jesus says clearly, and His words apply to everyone, “Unless you repent, you will all perish!” And this is a very serious thing!
Not only the existence of Christianity but even the existence of the Czech nation is in store today. Neglecting what we ought to do is a serious sin. When speaking about the Last Judgment, Jesus uses harsh words, “And these will go away into everlasting punishment…” Why? “Whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for Me.”
Heretics and apostates of Germany
17 March 2019
During their 11-14 March assembly in Lingen, the German Bishops’ Conference presented proposals concerning contraception, cohabitation, homosexual relationships and gender theory. It is quite evident that it is absolutely contradictory to the Church’s existing doctrine. The German bishops take no account of the reality of death, God’s judgment and eternity. They cynically break God’s law and commandments, i.e. the way to salvation. Jesus says about them: “I do not know you. Depart from Me, all you workers of iniquity. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.” (Lk 13:27-28)
The approval of sin will continue in a series of discussions which the German bishops call a “synodal path” (note: to hell). This was presented by Card. Reinhard Marx, the President of the German Bishops’ Conference, who explained that the majority of the bishops called for a change with regard to sexual morality. He said: “Things cannot continue anymore as they did.”
Commentary: Indeed, things cannot continue anymore as they did because what the bishops demand is not Christian but demonic.
An appeal to Bishop Schneider
March 18, 2019
Your Excellency,
You have publicly drawn attention to the heretical statement in the document signed by Francis in Abu Dhabi. You have said truthfully that the sentence about God’s wisdom and the diversity of religions “leads to doubt and heretical interpretations”.
Francis and heresies in Abu Dhabi
March 16, 2019
The document signed by Francis in Abu Dhabi contained the following statement: “The pluralism and the diversity of religions, colour, sex, race and language are willed by God in His wisdom, through which He created human beings.”
1. Francis thus says that the pluralism of sex is willed by God in His wisdom, which nowadays is understood to mean that God created not only a man and a woman but a number of genders. This ambiguous statement gives full scope for heresy and, in addition, legalizes gender ideology. It is a gross crime against God and mankind!
2. God in His wisdom did not establish any pluralism of religions. God just allows or permits paganism, demons, evil, wars or crimes, but ultimately the righteous Judgment of God will come and many will go away into eternal condemnation. This is not what God wills, but He respects free human will. God’s will is that all be converted and saved by faith in Jesus Christ.
Anathema on Metropolitan B. Gudziak
11 March 2019
On 11 March 2019, by authority of the apostolic and prophetic office, the Byzantine Catholic Patriarchate pronounced an anathema – excommunication from the Church – on Borys Gudziak. On 18 February 2019, Francis appointed him Metropolitan of Philadelphia (USA).
B.Gudziak, not only as President of UCU in Lvov (Ukraine), promoted gender immorality, which is rebellion against God and God’s law. He holds the ecclesiastical post illegitimately. If he refuses to repent and dies in this state, he will be eternally condemned as a heretic.
Word of Life – Rom 7:4 (10/3/2019 – 24/3/2019)
«Therefore, my brethren, you also have become dead to the law through the
body of Christ, that you may be married to another –
to Him who was raised from the dead, that we should bear fruit to God.»
Reflection on Rom 7:4
“Therefore, my brethren, you also have become dead to the law through the body of Christ, that you may be married to another – to Him who was raised from the dead, that we should bear fruit to God.”
In the previous verses 1-3, we find a picture of a wife and two husbands. The first husband represents the law of God, which is just and perfect. The other husband represents Christ. So long as the woman is joined to the first husband, there are always demands made on her, but the perfect husband, the law, never lifts a little finger to help her carry them out. She desires to marry the other husband, but she cannot be freed from the first one. And because he refuses to die, the only way out for her is to die herself. This death is the mystery of baptism through which we were immersed into the death of Christ and share in the new life of Christ. This picture shows the deep reality that Jesus not only died on the cross for us, but if we have spiritually entered into His death through baptism and faith, it means that we have been made free from the law of sin, and thus from the just law as well.
Francis – a heretic, a blasphemer, or perhaps a Satanist?
February 23, 2019
At the World Youth Day in Panama, Bergoglio approved gross blasphemy! The mystery of the Incarnation of the Word of God was horribly ridiculed. The girl playing the Virgin Mary on the stage in the presence of Francis is a black actress. She wears white jeans and a loose blouse and her hair is disheveled. Her unchaste gestures, screams and movements bring an unclean spirit into the audience. It is a terrible insult to the Mother of our Savior! It is a flagrant sacrilege!
