BCP: Pope St Martin and St Maximus in the fight against heresy, and Vatican II heresies
21 September 2021
At the beginning of the 7th century, the heresy of Monotheletism prevailed in the East. The adherents of this heresy secretly denied the very fundamental truth of Christianity, namely that Christ is true God and true man. From this fundamental truth of faith also follows the truth of the incarnation of Christ, of His redemptive sacrifice on the cross for our sins, and of His real and historical resurrection. Proponents of the heresy of Monotheletism were the Eastern Patriarchs, except for Sophronius, Patriarch of Jerusalem. Not even Pope Honorius I opposed this heresy; on the contrary, the way he expressed himself in writing made the heretical patriarchs appeal to it. After his death, the following Popes distanced themselves from the heresy.
St Maximus was a high-ranking imperial official, but due to the Emperor’s falling into
heresy he left the palace and entered a monastery. The heretical Patriarch Sergius convinced the Emperor to publish the so-called “Eсthesis” (Exposition), a heretical creed, and to command all without distinction to abide by it. Seeing the schism in the Church and the persecution of the orthodox, the venerable Maximus strengthened them in the fight against heresy. He also took the credit for this dangerous heresy being bravely opposed by the future Pope St Martin, who was later forcibly carried off from Rome to Constantinople. There he was imprisoned, tortured and sentenced to death. He said: “You can threaten me and cut me into pieces, but I will not agree to the heresy of Constantinople.” Pope St Martin died in 655 as a result of torture and cruel imprisonment.
1) When St Maximus was captured, the messengers of the pseudo Patriarch cleverly asked him if he belonged to the Church, and if so, they told him to enter into communion with them. Saint Maximus replied: “Christ the Lord acknowledges as Catholic that Church which maintains the true and saving confession of faith. He called Peter blessed for his correct confession of Him, upon which He built His Church. (see Mt 16:16-19) But tell me: what is the basis of your creed? If it is on a foundation of truth, I will immediately enter into communion with you.”
Commentary: Today’s heretical bishops also automatically consider themselves to be the Church, even though they have excluded themselves from it. If you ask them about the basis of their creed, that is, if they renounce the heresies of Neomodernism, syncretism with paganism, and the heresies of Bergoglianism, they refuse to answer. They argue that they recite the Creed at Mass every Sunday. This excuse is hypocrisy. If they adhered to what they recite, they would immediately renounce heresies.
When someone separates from these heretical bishops in order to adhere to Christ and to orthodox doctrine, they say that he is excluded from the Church. If he wants to return, he must accept heresies and unite with them – apostates. To them, however, is addressed the call of St Maximus: “Tell me: what is the basis of your creed?” The content of their faith contradicts the true teaching. Therefore, whoever wants to be saved cannot be in communion with them. They abuse authority and ecclesiastical power to destroy orthodox priests as well as the faithful.
2) St Maximus was sentenced to exile. The heretical Bishop Theodosius said to him: “The Emperor and Patriarch want you to explain why you have cut yourself off from communion with the see of Constantinople.” St Maximus replied: “As long as the scandal of heresy persists in this Church and her bishops are heretics, no argument will win me over to your side!”
Commentary: At the time of St Maximus, the hierarchy fell into heresy. The same is true today. Pseudo Pope Bergoglio is in unity with the world government and makes believe to belong to the Church, but this is a deception. In fact, it is Bergoglio who promotes the total destruction of the Gospel of Christ, which alone leads to salvation. In the first place, therefore, it is necessary to separate from Bergoglio. He preaches idolatry with Pachamama, promotes sodomy and a vaccination antigospel.
3) Theodosius said: “The local Council in Rome (649) was invalid because it was not convened by order of the Emperor!” St Maximus replied: “The Church recognizes as true and holy precisely those synods that proclaimed true dogmas. Many times in history, by order of the emperor, wolf-councils were held that were invalid, denying the divinity of Christ. The first such heretical council was held in Tyre, the second in Antioch, the third in Seleucia, and there were four more heretical councils. They were all rejected and anathematized.”
Commentary: Today, both St Maximus and Pope St Martin would rank the Second Vatican Council as heretical too. Why? Because it indirectly opened the door to the greatest heresies whose fruits we reap today. It did not oppose the revived heresy of Modernism and, in addition, the adherents of this heresy were appointed as moderators of the Council. Among its adherents was also John XXIII, the initiator of Vatican II, and Paul VI, who confirmed the spirit and the letter of Vatican II’s heresies. Both of them were placed under anathema.
What heresies were proclaimed by Modernism during and shortly after Vatican II? They were doctrinal heresies that denied the divinity of Christ. The heresies of Modernism, condemned by St Pius X in the 1907 encyclical Pascendi Dominici Gregis, came to life again in power. The historical-critical method (theology) denies the divinity of Christ and all the miracles in the Holy Scriptures as well as the divine inspiration of the Bible itself. Christ was divided into the Jesus of history and the Christ of faith, who was considered a mythological figure. Vatican II was obliged to deal with the most important thing at that time of crisis, namely the question of the heresy of Neomodernism. Since it deliberately neglected to condemn or comment on the heresies, it committed the greatest crime against the faith. In addition, the Council proclaimed the obvious heresies of syncretism with paganism under the positive notion of respect (for pagan cults – religions, de facto their demons). It is a hidden legalization of idolatry, i.e. of a sin against the First Commandment. On grounds of these crimes against the faith, the Council is heretical – invalid! As a result, true mission was replaced by so-called interreligious dialogue, and instead of defending the faith (apology) and proclaiming the truths of the faith, heresies were proclaimed and pagan practices adopted. The Conciliar and post-Conciliar Popes did not stand in defence of the faith; on the contrary, they supported heresy with their silence or even with their activities. Therefore, they were automatically placed under anathema, similarly to Pope Honorius I. This anathema against Vatican II and the above-mentioned Conciliar and post-Conciliar Popes was made public by the Byzantine Catholic Patriarchate.
Under the pontificate of pseudo Pope Bergoglio, the fruit of the spirit of Vatican II has been brought to maturity. Bergoglio has enthroned the Pachamama demon in the Basilica of St Peter!
4) The venerable Maximus was brought to Constantinople, where he resided in the Monastery of Saint Theodore. The patricians Epiphanius and Troilus came to speak with him. They forced Maximus to sign the heretical so-called “Typos” and told him that he would thus not deny the two wills of Christ, that it was only for the sake of peace in the Church that they were silent about them. St Maximus replied: “Silence is denial.” Troilus said to him: “Believe what you wish in your heart. No one cares what you think.” Maximus replied: “Our salvation does not depend merely on faith of the heart, but also on the confession, because the Lord said, ‘Whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven’ (Mt 10:33). Furthermore, the Apostle tells us, ‘With the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation’ (Rom 10:10).”
Commentary: Vatican II was silent on the heresies of Neomodernism. Within a few years, all theological faculties proclaimed heresies under the guise of so-called science and a new view of the Holy Scriptures. They denied the inspiration of Scripture and every miracle in it. As a result, morality began to be gradually destroyed and ultimately Francis denied the very existence of universally valid moral principles in Amoris Laetitia. He actively promotes homosexuality and mRNA vaccination, and hence genocide of humanity. The majority of bishops with the spirit of Vatican II support him and no longer distinguish between good and evil. What was at the root of this evil was only Vatican II’s deliberate silence on the heresies of Modernism.
5) The Emperor’s envoys asked Saint Maximus: “Will you enter into communion with (the faith of) Constantinople?” St Maximus replied: “No, because the leaders of this Church, by rejecting the definitions of four holy councils, have excommunicated themselves from the Church. Additionally, they have been cut off and stripped of priesthood by the local Council held in Rome. What Mysteries (i.e. sacraments), then, can they perform? And what spirit descends on those whom they ordain?”
Commentary: The question is which of the current bishops validly administer the sacraments and which of the current priests validly celebrate the Mass. Every bishop and priest who is in inner unity with the heresies promoted by the pseudo Pope has adopted the spirit of the antichrist and cannot validly administer the sacraments. Those who are in unity with Bergoglio also deny four Dogmatic Councils! They de facto recognize only Vatican II, which was a turning point towards the self-destruction of the Church. This Council contradicts all orthodox councils and has prepared the ground for mass apostasy. Today, it is paving the way through Bergoglio for the transition to an anti-Church of the New Age, that is, a synagogue of Satan. Bergoglio rightly argues that he only implements Vatican II.
Saint Maximus appealed to the local Council in Rome, which spoke out against the heresies of Monotheletism. The Council laid down that heretics were cut off and stripped of priesthood. The same fact is expressed by the dogmatic bull Cum Ex Apostolatus Officio (1555) of Paul IV, which states that all actions of a heretic, be it a priest, bishop or pope, shall be without force! Thus, even episcopal and priestly ordinations from heretics are invalid. And if anyone received a valid ordination but then fell into heresy, the sacraments he administers are invalid.
6) The envoys said to Maximus: “Yesterday two legates arrived from Rome. Tomorrow they will partake of the immaculate Mysteries with the Patriarch. What will you do?” St Maximus refused such communion and said: “The Apostle Paul tells us that the Holy Spirit anathematizes even angels who preach a new gospel.” (see Gal 1:8)
After this conversation, Saint Maximus had his right hand severed and his tongue torn out. Then he was sent into exile, where he died in prison for his faithfulness to Christ and the Gospel.
Commentary: Saint Maximus made it clear that to remain in union with a heretic and to receive a fake Eucharist from him means to be placed under the same anathema that rests on the heretic.
We have the sacraments to help us on the path of salvation. If anyone receives fake sacraments from heretics, they blind him and are an obstacle to salvation. The people who come under the influence of heretics today are the greatest opponents of the truth and hate orthodox Christians.
St Maximus appeals to the Scriptures and says that the Holy Spirit anathematizes even angels who preach a new gospel. A new gospel was already secretly preached at Vatican II. The spirit of historical-critical theology denies Christ and the supernatural. This apostasy culminated after Vatican II and today we are reaping bitter fruits. The only solution is repentance – to call the truth the truth and heresy heresy. To receive the truth and to condemn Vatican II heresies.
