On Monday 22 June 2015, a group of men in masks made an armed attack on the women’s Monastery of St Elijah the Prophet in Bryukhovychi near Lvov on the orders of the UGCC (Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church) hierarchy. The Monastery, which was established by the Metropolitan Andrey Sheptytskyi in 1925, went through the communist era, when the Church went underground and suffered persecution, and it preserved the true Catholic faith.
This monastery of contemplative sisters belongs to the Ukrainian orthodox Greek Catholic Church (UO GCC) which preserves the heritage of the true Catholic faith of the Metropolitan A. Sheptytskyi and dissociates itself from modern heresies. In contrast to it, Cardinal Husar proclaims heresies – he questions the Divinity of Jesus Christ, denies the eternity of hell, approves of homosexuality, promotes sorcery and he himself divines by pendulum.
In consequence, God’s curse has fallen not only on Husar but on all who are subordinate to him. Moreover, Husar has introduced bribery into the Church – sale and purchase of parishes, bribes for admission to a seminary, high prices for the administration of the sacraments, funeral etc. This Husar’s UGCC has become a pseudo Church which has nothing in common with the Metropolitan A. Sheptytskyi, the apostles’ teaching or the Gospel of Christ. Husar has given the present-day clergy a new spiritual programme: business. He has thus turned the UGCC into an enterprise under his slogan: “Money – our only protection”. Husar’s problem is: The money is in your pockets, and our task is to get them out. He established a bank under the title of “POKROV” (i.e. protection). But it should rather be called “POKRAV” (i.e. has stolen much).Husar’s UGCC has acted cunningly and aggressively towards the orthodox Greek Catholic Church for more than seven years. The paradox is that it has falsely labelled the orthodox Greek Catholic believers, i.e. their victims, as “an aggressive sect”. The orthodox believers, unlike Husar’s UGCC, commit no aggression, nor do they use drugs or wear masks or attack anyone with axes, crowbars, guns or pistols! Husar’s UGCC constantly seeks to destroy the orthodox believers, so they are forced to defend their rights guaranteed by the Constitution and Law of Ukraine. Husar’s adherents label this defence as aggression.
The UGCC intentionally zombify their churchgoers – they tell them fabricated horrific stories and stir up hatred towards the orthodox Catholics. The lies spread by Husar’s pseudo Church testify that they neither fear God nor care about people. Their aggressive and illegal activities against the orthodox believers become more and more intense.
In 2009, an attempt was made on the orders of Husar’s adherents to abduct a postulant from the women’s monastery with the assistance of the police and Security Service of Ukraine (SBU).
In 2010, Husar’s adherents fanaticized the crowd and assisted by the Hare Krishna sect they used psychological and physical violence against the orthodox believers.
2011 – Lvov, Pluhova St.: the aggressive UGCC clergy defiled a sanctuary – they threw down the cross from the roof of the chapel, broke the windows… Yet the criminals went unpunished. The clergy bribed the police and courts and staged a trial against Patriarch Elijah. (see https://vkpatriarhat.org/de/?p=1034)
Probizhna 2012 – the UGCC clergy stirred up hatred in their believers to such extent that they brutally broke into the monastery of the orthodox Sisters with axes and crowbars, wearing masks (as they were priests in disguise), and threw the Sisters out of the house which was their private property.
2013 – the apostate UGCC hierarchy forced the state authorities to prohibit the orthodox Catholic believers from organizing peaceful demonstrations against homosexuality and in support of the family, though they have the right to it under the Law of Ukraine.
“Thanks to” the UGCC, the Ministry of Culture has not registered the orthodox Catholic believers until this day. This is religious discrimination on the orders of the UGCC clergy.
Husar’s apostate UGCC will stop at nothing. They continue inciting religious hatred not only in their churches or in the mass media but also in state authorities by resorting to aggressive technologies of lies.
On 22 June 2015, manipulated armed police forces in masks broke into the monastery in Bryukhovychi early in the morning, 6:20 a.m., showing no official documents. They broke the front door with axes and pushed the Sisters out by force, pointing guns and pistols at them. They pulled them along the ground, twisted their arms, hit them on the head and cynically threw them outside, holding their hands and feet. What an invasion! 200 armed men against defenceless and weak Sisters!? Why? Because they serve God, because they pray day and night?!
The armed men encircled the Sisters and kept them in psychological and physical terror for six hours. Among the assaulters there were also churchmen in disguise. Many of them were drunk. They wanted to drag the Sisters into the house, each separately, to be “body-searched”. How dare they touch nuns consecrated to God?! The aggressors repeatedly and grossly violated the basic human rights guaranteed by the International Charter of Human Rights and Freedoms as well as by the Constitution of Ukraine. This is an international scandal!
The vandals stole all computers, current stabilizers (even the refrigerator stabilizer), personal belongings, passports and even food like professional robbers.
The assaulters devastated the whole monastery – they defiled the sanctuary, touching the altar and tabernacle. (see https://vkpatriarhat.org/de/?p=11101)
The mind boggles at the thought that our monastery, which celebrates its 90th anniversary this year, went through the war and the communist regime, and now in free Ukraine it sees such a barbaric raid! An attack with guns and axes on weak and defenceless religious sisters – what have we come to in Christian Ukraine?! And this all was organized and financed by Husar’s pseudo Church.
At the same time, such a raid on the orders of Husar’s adherents was made on a men’s monastery of the Ukrainian orthodox Greek Catholic Church too. At 6 o’clock in the morning, a group of hired men in masks and police uniforms with guns and axes broke into the monastery and kidnapped 4 bishops of the UO GCC .
Two of the bishops were secretly deported from Ukraine in no time. The other two were thrown out of the car at the Ukrainian border by the so-called employees of special security force with the purpose of accusing them of an illegal attempt to cross the border. How absurd! They kept them unlawfully in an unknown place for three days and finally staged a frame-up trial against them. The trial was based on a whole series of lies according to the scenario of Husar’s clergy who bribed the judges, border guards, police, State Security Service…
This all was organized and sponsored by the “holy” UGCC. The UGCC (Greek Catholic Church) was holy in the past, without Husar’s heresies. Now it is holy no more since God’s curse spreads to it from Husar’s heresies. Husar’s adherents now deceive the nation pretending to be the same UGCC as in the times of Sheptytskyi or the communist regime. However, the UGCC nowadays has the spirit of Husar and Gudziak, US citizens, with the priority of heresies and homosexuality. What has been left is just the external rites. The so-called Catholic University (UCU) now promotes heresies, homosexuality and juvenile justice. By contrast, the orthodox Catholic believers preserve the tradition of their ancestors represented by the Metropolitan A. Sheptytskyi. Husar’s adherents falsely call us the Dohnal sect. We are no sect, we proclaim no heresies. The Husar sect – UGCC – does proclaim heresies and, moreover, resorts to terrorism.
The events of 22 June in Bryukhovychi testify to the fact that the UGCC indeed is a terrorist organization.
We hereby demand that the government prohibit the UGCC which poses a threat to stability in the state and to security of the citizens of Ukraine!
