Os termos <em>\u201cci\u00eancia\u201d<\/em> e <em>\u201cabordagem cient\u00edfica\u201d<\/em> tornaram-se m\u00e1gicos, mas o Deus vivo n\u00e3o tem lugar no modernismo. Em 1907, o Papa S\u00e3o Pio X foi obrigado a expulsar quase metade dos seminaristas e professores. Embora o modernismo estivesse proibido, meio s\u00e9culo depois, os criptomodernistas junto com os ma\u00e7ons puxaram os cord\u00f5es e elevaram Jo\u00e3o XXIII ao papado. Jo\u00e3o XXIII convocou um conc\u00edlio e escolheu essas mesmas pessoas como moderadores do conc\u00edlio, e elas ent\u00e3o abriram totalmente a Igreja ao mundo.
