{"id":9046,"date":"2014-09-27T20:31:39","date_gmt":"2014-09-27T17:31:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vkpatriarhat.org\/de\/?p=9046"},"modified":"2014-09-27T20:31:55","modified_gmt":"2014-09-27T17:31:55","slug":"reflection-on-jn-1420","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vkpatriarhat.org\/de\/reflection-on-jn-1420\/","title":{"rendered":"Reflection on Jn 14:20"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><em>\u201cOn that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you.\u201d<\/em><\/span><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">We are in Christ, and He in us.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Jesus said: <em>\u201cOn that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you.\u201d<\/em> (Jn 14:20)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I realize the truths:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">1)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Jesus is God, and He is in the Father<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">2)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 We are in Christ crucified<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">3)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The risen Christ is in us<!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>Ad 1) Realization: Jesus is God, and He is in His Father<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">5 minutes<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">By the spiritual sight<\/span> I see high above myself the epicentre of light symbolizing the Triune God.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">One of the members of the prayer community says: <em>\u201cYou in the Father\u201d<\/em> (see also the second alternative).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">All repeat 4 times: <em>\u201cJehoshua\u201d<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I say <em>\u201cJehoshua\u201d<\/em> the first time and think in my mind: \u201cGod from God\u201d (see The Creed).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I say <em>\u201cJehoshua\u201d<\/em> the second time and think in my mind: \u201cLight from Light.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I say <em>\u201cJehoshua\u201d<\/em> the third time and think in my mind: \u201cTrue God from true God\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I say <em>\u201cJehoshua\u201d<\/em> the fourth time and think in my mind: \u201cOf one Being with the Father\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The second alternative:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Before saying <em>\u201cJehoshua\u201d<\/em> the first time one person says: \u201cYou in the Father \u2013 God from God.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Before saying <em>\u201cJehoshua\u201d<\/em> the second time one person says: \u201cYou in the Father \u2013 Light from Light.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Before saying <em>\u201cJehoshua\u201d<\/em> the third time one person says: \u201cYou in the Father \u2013 true God from true God.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Before saying <em>\u201cJehoshua\u201d<\/em> the fourth time one person says: \u201cYou in the Father \u2013 of one Being.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The spirit of atheism and the spirit of heresy have always attacked the fundamental truth of the faith holding that God is the Creator of all that is, seen and unseen, and that the only-begotten Son, Jesus Christ, is true God, of one Being with the Father. Now before the whole universe I confess the truth from the Creed. I overcome unbelief in my heart and demons of unbelief and heresies in the air.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>Ad 2) The cross and death in Christ \u2013 you in Me<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I realize the truth <em>\u201cwe in You\u201d<\/em> (or <em>\u201cI in You\u201d<\/em>). Jesus said: <em>\u201cWhere two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.\u201d<\/em> (Mt 18:20)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">If we are to live in true communion with God, we have to repent in earnest. Jesus washes the apostles\u2019 feet: <em>\u201c<\/em><em>If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another\u2019s feet. I have given you an example to follow.\u201d<\/em> (Jn 13:14-15)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It concerns repentance which consists in confessing to each other various forms of egoism. Example: I neglected to help my brother. I was indifferent. I was envious. I refused to accept my brother\u2019s view in my thoughts or by my gesture. I was silent and reluctant to explain something which caused tension etc.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">By the spiritual sight<\/span> I see above myself the cross and Jesus crucified. I fix my eyes on the wounds in His hands, feet and heart.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">One person says: <em>\u201cWe in You.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I divide the name <em>Jehoshua<\/em> into four syllables. Looking at the wound in His left hand, I utter two syllables: <em>\u201cJe\u201d<\/em> and <em>\u201cho\u201d<\/em>. At the same time, I enter into this wound with my mind. Uttering the syllable <em>\u201cshu\u201d<\/em>, I perceive the movement of the light as well as of my mind towards the spiritual centre \u2013 the heart. Uttering the vowel <em>\u201ca\u201d<\/em>, I perceive my entering into Christ\u2019s heart.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Then one person says again: <em>\u201cWe in You.\u201d<\/em> And we all say aloud: <em>\u201cJe-ho-shu-a\u201d<\/em>. We enter into Christ\u2019s heart through the wound in His other hand just like through the first wound.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Then one person says again: <em>\u201cWe in You.\u201d<\/em> And we all say aloud the name <em>\u201cJe-ho-shu-a\u201d<\/em>. Uttering the syllable <em>\u201cJe\u201d<\/em> I perceive the wound in one foot, uttering the syllable <em>\u201cho\u201d<\/em> I perceive the wound in the other foot, uttering the syllable <em>\u201cshu\u201d<\/em> I perceive the movement of my mind towards the heart. Uttering the vowel <em>\u201ca\u201d<\/em> I perceive my entering into Christ\u2019s heart.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Then one person says again: <em>\u201cWe in You.\u201d<\/em> And we all utter the holy name <em>\u201cJe-ho-shu-a\u201d<\/em>. Uttering the first and second syllables <em>\u201cJe\u201d<\/em> and <em>\u201cho\u201d<\/em>, I realize that I am in the heart of Jesus in spirit. Uttering the syllable <em>\u201cshu\u201d<\/em>, I perceive the movement of the Spirit of Jesus and my spirit upward. Uttering the vowel <em>\u201ca\u201d<\/em>, I perceive that the Spirit of Jesus and my spirit enter into the arms of the Father \u2013 I experience spiritual unity with Christ\u2019s death. This cycle repeats itself for about five minutes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>Ad 3) The risen Christ is in us<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Humans, unlike animals, are spiritual. Unlike angels, they have a material body. So man is the intersection of matter and spirit. I perceive this reality by means of an image. I imagine a deep shaft into the depths of my being. This shaft has three horizontal turnings \u2013 it is a picture of a three-armed cross. The deepest sphere is our innermost self \u2013 eis ta idia (cf. Jn 19:27) \u2013 it is where the human spirit (pneuma) dwells which was created in the likeness of God. In the central sphere there is the soul (psyche). The sphere of the body (soma) is above the soul. The spiritual infection of original sin affects the soul and body by deceit and lusts. That\u2019s why we need liberation and inner healing by Christ. The forces of darkness influence us too. Jesus said to Peter: <em>\u201cLaunch out into the deep.\u201d<\/em> (Lk 5:4)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Spiritual view<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The image of a shaft<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">One person says: <em>\u201cYou in us\u201d<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">a)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Uttering the syllables <em>\u201cJe\u201d<\/em> and <em>\u201cho\u201d<\/em>, I perceive the risen Christ as the light. Uttering the syllable <em>\u201cshu\u201d<\/em>, I perceive the movement of the light deep down. Uttering the vowel <em>\u201ca\u201d<\/em>, I perceive that Christ has descended into my innermost self.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">b)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Uttering the syllables <em>\u201cJe\u201d<\/em> and <em>\u201cho\u201d<\/em> for the second time, I realize that the risen Jesus is in me. Uttering the syllable <em>\u201cshu\u201d<\/em>, I perceive the movement of the light filling the shaft horizontally on both sides. Uttering the vowel <em>\u201ca\u201d<\/em>, I perceive that the light \u2013 Christ \u2013 has penetrated the whole sphere of my innermost being, i.e. the sphere of the spirit.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">c)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Uttering the syllables <em>\u201cJe-ho-shu-a\u201d<\/em> for the third time, I perceive in a similar manner that Christ penetrates the sphere of the soul (psyche).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">d)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Uttering the syllables <em>\u201cJe-ho-shu-a\u201d<\/em> for the fourth time, I perceive in the same way that Christ penetrates the body (soma).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Then one person says again: <em>\u201cYou in us\u201d<\/em>.
