It is based on the absurd assumption that a heretical pope can in no case be deprived of his office. Moreover, he claims that even if a pope committed the gravest heresies or monstrous moral crimes, he must \u2013 in his view \u2013 remain in office. This Schneider\u2019s view is against Holy Scripture, Gal 1:8-9, against the Bull of Paul IV as well as against the words of many saints.
