\u201cAnd because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

crying out, \u201cAbba, Father!\u201d Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son,<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Every man is a slave of sin before he is converted to Christ. He is practically without spiritual light, and owing to his blindness of mind and conscience he considers idolatry to be a form of piety and various superstitions to be faith. The Bible describes it as follows \u2013 people who cannot discern between their right hand and their left. They have a false view of God without fully realizing it and are under the sway of false spirits who easily deceive them.<\/p>\n

In the hearts of baptized children, though they do not yet use reason and have not yet been consciously converted, dwells the light of Christ and the whole Holy Trinity. Unbaptized children do not have this grace.<\/p>\n

As many as believed in God and received in obedience Jesus as their God and Saviour, to them God gave the right to become the sons (children) of God. And because they are sons (children) of God, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son \u2013 the Holy Spirit \u2013 into their hearts, crying out, \u201cAbba, Father!\u201d The Holy Spirit intercedes for them with groanings which cannot be expressed in words, especially when they call on the name of Jesus or when they turn their eyes and hearts to God and, of course, when they pray in tongues in the Spirit and in truth. The reality of being born anew and renewed by the Holy Spirit as well as the wonderful reality of the Holy Trinity \u2013 the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit \u2013 dwelling within us is closely connected with the Blessed Virgin. St Paul writes: \u201c\u2026when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman\u2026\u201d<\/em> (Gal 4:4)<\/p>\n

Everyone who has been born anew has received the Spirit to know God, to know His heart, His laws, and since he himself is known by God, he can know Him as a child knows its mother or father. Therefore St\u00a0Paul reproves the Galatians and us too by beseeching us not to lose the inner relationship with Jesus, our first love, the grace of the inner light of the Truth. Only in Jesus we are sons, and therefore God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, the Spirit crying out \u201cAbba, Father!\u201d What joy! I am no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God, an heir of God\u2019s kingdom!<\/p>\n
